"Thomas Adams of Classic Electric recently completed lighting work at our new home in the Villebois Subdivision in Wilsonville. Our home is a Polygon home and thus came with substandard builder grade lighting in all four of the bedrooms. The one small LED pendant placed center to the closet doors in each room did not come close to providing adequate lighting in the rooms. Thomas installed new flush mount lighting in the center of the secondary bedrooms and canned lighting and a dimmer switch in the master bedroom.
He also came to the rescue to fix a substandard installation of a fireplace blower by another well known firm that installed the blower without permit, broke the bracket that was provided with the kit and did not mount the control switch on the wall as we had requested. And they did not pull a permit as was required by code.
If you are looking for a professional that will be on time, communicate clearly, compete the work exactly as you desire and provide a level of service rarely found these days, we highly recommend Thomas for your home needs. We were very happy with his work and glad to see that there are professionals like him still making homes brighter for us.

"Awesome!! I called Classic Electric since they were local and had great reviews on here. They did not disappoint. I talked to Thomas on the phone to schedule an appointment. I needed a sump pump wired in under my house and also was having trouble with a GFI outlet. Thomas knew exactly what the problem was with the GFI when I told him what was wrong and explained how to fix it. Who does that?! I had called a few other electricians and gave them the same information. They were all two months out for an appointment and none of them gave any suggestions as to how I could fix the problem myself. Thomas saved me a couple hundred bucks over the phone! So I had him come out to wire up my sump pump. Thomas was punctual, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He even cut me some slack when the job went from a single circuit to two due to him finding instructions that were mistakenly left under the house by the company that installed the pump. Thomas did an outstanding job and charged me a fair price. It's nice to know there are still guys out there who take pride in what they do and aren't just there for a "trash and dash" to make a quick buck. Thomas just completed a lengthy project for me (about 5 weeks off and on) and never once did I have to babysit him (call him day before or day of to make sure he would be there or to remind him of work that needed to be completed by a certain date). "Thomas took on an electrical job I can only describe as one of biblical proportions! Adnara Equestrian Center is a boarding facility in Aurora that had previously been owned by a do-it-your- self kind of guy using duct tape and bailing twine. The wiring in the main boarding barn was a hodge podge of disaster waiting to happen. After meeting with several electricians to assess the scope of the job I chose to work with Classic Electric because Thomas had a can-do attitude and assured me the end product would be both up to code and permitted. "We got a bid to add some 220V outlets to our garage for some shop equipment. I know the fundamentals of electrical stuff but that's about it. He came out and we were out of space on our panel and had a sub panel already, we were just out of room in our 1976 house with a 125AMP line. We ended up replacing the panel, line, meter adding the 220V outlets (2) and 4 canned lights. Tons of work, not a ton of money. The old panel looked like a birds nest from hell with wire leading now where and aluminum and copper lines wire nutted together. We got a new panel with 200AMP, cleaned up the lines, and he added the breakers at the meter. The panel is sweet, tons of room to grow. He was very good at explaining things, follow-up, customer service and reasonable prices. I would hire him again in a heartbeat."

"You will not find a better electrician than Thomas with Classic Electric. We had our 1928 home updated to 200 amp service, as well as numerous other upgrades throughout our home. On his initial walkthrough, Thomas suggested several things we should do to receive a more accurate (and justifiable) estimate and he would come back to re-evaluate. So we labeled some problem outlets, created an opening for the attic, etc… No other electrician had bothered to suggest this approach which resulted in their vague and over-estimated numbers. But Thomas’ estimate was detailed, competitive and left us knowing exactly what to expect. The work was started the exact time and day that was promised. He started and finished each day like clockwork. Before leaving, he would clean up, remove all trash and walk through the progress for the day. The level of professionalism and courtesy was always at 10. Aside from the stellar day-to-day experience, I would consider Thomas a sage and an artist when it comes to wiring. Knowing a bit about electrical myself, I had plenty of questions to ask and he was eager to share his 20 years of knowledge and experience. He would also explain where certain changes were being made, and that extra work was being added to ensure the job was not only finished as spec’d but that it met his high aesthetic and quality standards — quickly following with “I’m not charging extra, I just want this to be right.” Needless to say, everything was completed to our satisfaction and beyond. Scope of work was to install a recessed outlet into an existing circuit for our wall mounted TV. Run coax cable for the TV so that we could add an antenna at some point and run an ethernet cable to our closet where we added another outlet for the internet router.
There are really no negatives with Classic Electric. Thomas is upfront and honest about what he does, his pricing, and shows a sense of integrity rarely seen with service providers these days. In other words, he tells you what he's going to do and he does it. "This is my third remodeling project and working with my third electrician. Thomas Adams is truly amazing on many different levels. First, he is quick to respond whether by phone, text or email. Secondly, he did an incredible job on the the wiring and set up for the custom entertainment center and was very creative in figuring out how to make all the components work and look good! Thirdly, he is meticulous and incredibly clean.
Add to this, his wife and partner, Abby, who took over and set up my new Smart TV and made calls to Samsung and Comcast to get answers for the set up. They stayed until everything was complete and working. And then went home and did some research on their own about wireless speakers I have in the living room and figured out how to make those work as well!

Not only was Thomas the only one who called me back, he returned my call promptly and set up an appointment for the next week. He showed up when he said he would, called ahead to confirm, and got back to me later the same day with a quote for services. The work he did was excellent - he wired and hung one large chandelier on an 11' cord, and wired and hung two pendant lights. Some of the work was tricky to figure out due to existing walls, ceiling heights, etc. but Thomas was able to determine how to best (and safely) accommodate our needs. "First off, Thomas didn't charge us for this visit as thanks for the larger job he did to basically make our extensive landscape lighting service operational. We've been in our house for a little more than six years (it's in a rural setting) and we've been dealing with the after-effects of a poor wiring installation that we hope to avoid replacing in its entirety.

"To Whom It May Concern: I had a great experience hiring Classic Electric to install a new electrical panel and move our PGE meter to the other side of the garage to meet a code. Thomas Adams, the owner, was very professional. He communicated to me about the bid, what I needed and what I did not need. He does not like to add on a bunch of stuff that would cost me more but put more money into his pocket. I appreciate his honesty. He gave us a fair bid. He arrived when he said he would, did his job and left after a long day. He ran out of time to finish the job to his expectations, so, instead of rushing to finish, he choose to finish the details the next day. We were up and running with power, but he came back the next day and did time consuming details like straightening the wires, caulking the openings and cleaning up. He gave himself more time to do the job right. Thomas just likes to do a professional job. I had to ask him to come back two separate times and diagnosis a couple of problems that I thought were part of the installation. They turned out to be a problem in my house wiring. But you need to know that Thomas was quick in adjusting his schedule, returning to make sure his work was correct. He had a great attitude and I appreciated his extra effort to make sure I was happy. "Amazing. I called four different companies because I wanted to get someone out quickly. My first call back was from Thomas. He responded about 10 minutes after leaving a voice mail at his office. He said he was out at a site but thought he might have time to swing by and give me an estimate and determine the problem after he finished the project he was working on. He said he'd give me a call if he was going to be able to make it work, otherwise he'd get us in tomorrow. He called about 3 hours later and said he could come by. He arrived promptly, was very friendly and professional, did some trouble shooting of the problem and made a few quick adjustments and voila now we have power again. "I called Thomas for an estimate. He came right out, which is more than I can say for the other electricians I called. His manner was friendly but business-like. He and Brian looked at everything, asked lots of questions, and sent me a bid very promptly. Thomas kept me in the loop every step of the way and always asked what I wanted and what would make me happy. Having excellent, trustworthy, competent contractors made me super happy!
These guys worked HARD. When there was dirt left over from the trench digging, they asked if I'd like them to put it in the back yard for my new garden. They gave me pointers on how to fix other things around the house so I could do them myself. They even tried to help me with a garden bed I was digging up, but couldn't get the trencher into the back yard.
I will be calling them back when I pull out the ugly gas furnace in the middle of the livingroom and put in an electric system."

I say this because they did everything they said they would do and when they would do it. "Finally an electrical contractor I trust! Classic Electric was recommended to me by the a trusted strategic partner. The lighting in our kitchen was so outdated. We have a long row of can lights that light up the whole neighborhood but never seems to give enough light in just the area you need it. Thomas took the call. He scheduled us right away. "I admit it. I am terrified of hiring service providers.I don't understand the time or the cost needed for most projects and that puts me (and most of the buying public) at a disadvantage. I tried one of those 2 hour specials from another company when I bought my new home and he didn’t improve my electrical in anyway noticeable and ended up charging me really high prices for parts. So, the deal wasn’t a deal at all and nothing important was accomplished. So, when I needed more work done, I went with a referral and I am so happy I did. Thomas installed new light fixtures, sub cabinet lighting, garage lighting, switches, plugs and fixed a myriad of electrical issues left from the previous owner of my home. Some of the electrical was dangerous and we were lucky there wasn’t a fire. I know next to nothing about lighting, so Thomas gave me some really clever design ideas. He even put four dimmer switches in my kitchen (after he put in can lights that made sense). Our garage had two little light bulbs, so he changed them out for two rows of 8 fluorescents. The whole garage lights up now and I don’t know how anyone lived with it before. "I called in Thomas Adams to put in sub-cabinet lighting and install a couple of lights. We ended up adding the garage lighting and several other projects because he did such a great job and had really good ideas of what kind of lighting would be good for my space. My kitchen had can lights with fluorescent bulbs that took forever to warm up. He switched out the can lights to something more energy efficient that provides superior lighting and he put all the lights on dimmer switches. The sub-cabinet lighting is on a dimmer switch too. The lighting has made such a difference in my kitchen and I love, love, love it! The garage had two little 75 watt light bulbs that were pretty much useless, so he switched that out for two rows of fluorescents for a total of 8 lights. Now, we can see everything and actually get some work done! I guess the previous owner did much of his own electrical and there were several issues which were very dangerous because of bad wiring. Thomas is very meticulous and conscientious. I wouldn't trust anyone else with something as important as electricity. Now, I refer Thomas to everyone I know; clients, family and friends alike.
